AFSCME LOCAL 1624 VOTE PAC

Fighting for candidates who will fight for us

The AFSCME VOTE PAC works to ensure that the individuals we elect to public office are committed to advancing the interests of public employees. The decisions made by these officials can profoundly impact the wages, benefits, working conditions, safety, and job security of those employed in the public sector.

Through our local VOTE PAC, we help elect candidates who stand for what matters to AFSCME members:

· Commitment to employees and labor

· Pay increases

· Better benefits

· Better policies that put the employee first and support work-life balance

· Salary market studies

· Retirement security

· Affordable healthcare

· Safety on the job

· Support of essential public services and stopping privatization

· Support of strong Council form of government

Politics is part of AFSCME's DNA. Federal election law and some state laws prohibit using dues for campaign contributions and other political activities. AFSCME VOTE PAC enables our union to be strong politically and help enact legislative programs that protect our jobs.

Through our VOTE PAC, thousands of AFSCME members help get out the vote for candidates who support working families and public services. We make phone calls, knock on doors, and do whatever it takes to turn out more voters. Be a part of history and join us.
